Ed Davey MP will visit Northampton today to launch a consultation on the manifesto for the 2007 Borough elections

Ed Davey, Liberal Democrat MP for Kingston & Surbiton and Shadow Trade & Industry Secretary is to visit Northampton today to launch a consultation on the manifesto for the 2007 Borough elections.

Accompanied by Cllr Tony Woods and Cllr Andrew Simpson, Lib Dem Parliamentary Candidate for Northampton North, Ed, who is also Chair of the Federal Party's Campaigns and Communications Committee, in charge of the party's campaign for the next General election, will visit Kingsthorpe Community Centre and FFP Packaging to find out about education and industry in Northampton.

He will also be interviewed for BBC Radio Northampton's Drive-time programme at 5.10pm, before going on to an evening meeting of local party members.
