Lings Wood will be the subject of a 'clean up' this Saturday 11th November, organised in response to increasing amounts of litter being dumped. Mr Meredith had the idea to organise a clean up after his repeated complaints to the Borough Council fell on deaf ears.

The 'clean up' will start at 10.30am at the perimeter of Lings Wood, moving onto Prentice Court and the surrounding area including around Goldings Shops and the Silver Horse Pub.

"We want to drastically improve the local environment so that nearby residents and wildlife can once again enjoy this beauty spot. I hope as many residents as possible will join Thorplands Liberal Democrat Focus Team on Saturday to help out."

Refreshments will be available to helpers at 12.00 noon in Goldcrest Court Community Centre.
