Lib Dem Brendan Glynane has led the opposition to Delapre Park bunding

Lib Dem councillor Brendan Glynane is to put a motion to Council on 26th June asking for the removal of controversial bunding in Delapre Park.

Cllr Glynane, who voted against the planning application to erect bunding back in 2003, said:

"Delapre Park is a real beauty spot and has historic significance. Joyriders who drive onto the park need to be stopped, but I have always believed there should be a full appraisal of all options which hasn't happened. Instead the bunding was erected despite a groundswell of public discontent and now the Tory administration is paying the price for taking short cuts.

The motion will be heard at full Council on Monday 26th June 6pm at the Guildhall.
